One hundred years after Winnie-the-Pooh first wandered into the Hundred Acre Wood in A.A. Milne’s beloved classic, one lucky reader and their guest could experience the magic for themselves with an unforgettable luxury countryside escape in the heart of Pooh Country. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Winnie-the-Pooh, we have partnered with Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club to offer an exclusive nostalgic mini break inspired by the world’s most famous bear.

  • An overnight stay for two at the luxurious Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club on Saturday 17 October 2026
  • Tickets for An Evening with Gyles Brandreth: Celebrating 100 Years of Winnie-the-Pooh
  • A four-course fine dining dinner with coffee and petit fours
  • An exclusive in-person viewing of an original 1920s J.K. Farnell “Alpha” Teddy Bear — the very same style of bear gifted to Christopher Robin Milne, which would later inspire Winnie-the-Pooh himself
  • Hunny Pot Afternoon Tea for two
